We are searching for a postdoc

Our Geoecology department is searching for a postdoc to work on microclimate modelling and vegetation ecology of temperate forests. Come to work with us on long-term microclimate time-series, disturbances, tree regeneration and forest plant ecology!
You will define your own research topic within the scope of our research interests.
We expect that the topic will lead to high-quality research published in top-tier journals.

Fellowship:

The position is open under MERIT programme (MSCA COFUND fellowship). The duration of the fellowship is 24 to 30 months, which includes mandatory secondments. If you are a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a passion for botanical research and/or climatology and a desire to join a dynamic team of researchers, please apply for this exciting opportunity. Join us in advancing the field of botanical research at the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

About the institute:

As one of the main centres of botanical research in the Czech Republic, the Institute of Botany carries out fundamental research on species, populations, and communities of plants. Their research focuses on all fields of botany, including classical taxonomy, biosystematics, plant evolution, ecology, ecophysiology, phytogeography, vegetation mapping, dendrochronology, wood anatomy, and karyological and population genetic studies. IBOT is also a proud holder of the European HR Excellence in Research Award.
